My Friend Irma

(1949) Paramount Pictures  B&W. 103 Mins.

This movie was made from the radio show, with the same title. Marie Wilson plays  Irma, her roommates name is Jane, played by Dianna Lynn. Irma's boyfriends name is Al, who is played by John Lund. Irma's Boyfriend is an unemployed idea man. He works very hard, at coming up with schemes to make money. One day while on a walk with Irma, Al discovers two men working in an orange juice booth, who have obvious singing talent. The two men, Steve and Seymour, played by (Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis), move in with Jane and Irma at Irma's boyfriends suggestion. Janes plans for her future is twisted between the combination of Poverty and doing what they have to do to survive,(concerning a  rich boss played by Don Defore) instead of doing what you want, (Marrying Steve). All in all this movie is a go to, for comedy romance and music.

Seymour: Rainy day? I got news for you. I get hungry in clear weather!

Professor Kropotkin: Oh, Jane and Irma, my two little proud beauties! One with her head in the air and the other with air in her head
.
Irma Peterson: How often does a girl meet a millionaire with money?

Seymour: The least you could do is show me some sympathy, Steve. When you was sick, I was very considerate. Remember when the doctor gave you only 30 days to live?
Steve: Yes!
Seymour: Didn't I go out and get you a calender?
