One of the many Martin and Lewis movies, That's My Boy, ranks high on my scale. I've always liked the duo, and the clean comedy they use. In this movie Jerry Lewis plays the son of a famous college football player who wishes for his son to become a football star as well. Jerry is a book worm, and wears glasses. (and has a medicine for everything, literally!) Dean Martin plays the son of a sickly small man who doesn't have any preference of what(sport or otherwise) his son wishes to do. Dean Martin is a great football player but can not afford to go to college, (and has just graduated High school, along with Jerry Lewis) Jerry's folks however can afford to send him to college. So a simple solution arises, Jerry's father pays for both of them to go to college,(without Jerry knowing it) and Dean will be Jerry's friend and try to encourage him to be a good football player. All-in-all Dean and Jerry end up friends, Dean gets the girl, (which is the Usual MO unless there is two girls) and every body's happy!
