In this romantic comedy Danny Kaye plays Buzzy Bellew a talented night entertainer. He is the only witness to a crime committed by Ten Grand Jackson, a big time thief. Who gets killed so he can't testify, however don't be to downhearted his twin brother Edwin Dingle helps out his ghost to try and catch Ten Grand Jackson and his thugs. You'll really love this movie, Warning: It's a musical and at some moments may seem bizzare or uninteresting, but please watch it anyway its great)

Vera-Ellen's first film.
The giant vases in the set of the Pelican Club were a last-minute inspiration of art director Ernest Fegte. He had originally commissioned legendary sculptor Tony Duquette to do large statues for the set, but Goldwyn, who'd approved the sketches of Duquette's sculptures, decided he didn't like them once they were actually built. Eventually Fegte arranged to sell Duquette's sculptures to MGM and thought of using the giant vases to replace them.
