In this timeless detective movie starring William Powell and Myrna Loy, Powell plays former detective Nick Charles, his rich wife's name is Nora(Loy), who wishes to see him in some real detective action. (He retired before they got married) When a murder is practically put in his lap (by way of Nora's family), she immediately starts trying to convince him to solve it. (This is happening over New Years, hence the timing of the post) (Also as the story develops we see a young Jimmy Stewart.) Nora's cousin Selma becomes implicated in the murder with motive and admitting being at the scene of the crime, (just like all the other suspects) to the police she looks very guilty.
