News and Rumors

Here are some little tidbits from the movie world I found interesting and thought you might as well.

Nancy Drew is finally getting the recognition she deserves. Their is a TV show in the works starring the sleuth. Based in modern times, and she is aged a little bit. In the show she will be in her early thirties.

Miss.Marple is another show in the works. She will also be in modern times, and aged down quite a bit. From an elderly lady she will be in her early to mid twenties.

The Percy Jackson movies bombed, and the Mortal Instruments weren't far behind. Much like Divergent in the overall feel. These Young Adult book adaptions didn't do well on the big screen. Maybe The Mortal Instruments will have better luck on the small screen. The Mortal Instruments will be coming to ABC Family next year.

Ant-Man and the Wasp is the title of the Ant-Man sequel. This is the first time a Marvel movie has has a female character in the title.

An Agents of SHIELD spin-off is in development over at ABC, titled Marvels Most Wanted. Centering around Bobbi Morse aka. Mockingbird and her ex.husband Agent Lance Hunter. It has a very Mr. and Mrs. Smith feel in the Marvel universe.

Although Robbie Amell left The Flash in the first episode of the new season he promises his charter will be back. Robbie Amell is currently filming for the new X-Files reboot.

Amazon Original series The Man in the High Castle released its pilot back in January. It did well and a full season was made. The new episodes are all to be available to Prime users on Nov. 20. I would definitively recommend this show. It's plot is intriguing and interesting. Be aware there is quite heavy language since it doesn't have the same requirements as a show on TV would have.

Supergirl the new CBS show is set to premiere Mon. Oct. 26. Here is a link to the extended trailer.

At this point pretty much everyone who cares anything about Wolverine or X-Men knows Hugh Jackman is laying down the claws after one more Wolverine stand alone movie. It's very sad news but understandable.

Apparently the rumor that Channing Tatum was leaving Gambit were unfounded. Unfortunately for Gambit lovers everywhere.

Jennifer Lawrence is rumored to be leaving the X-Men franchise after a couple more movies. Then again that is always a risk for anyone in any franchise.
