Lady on a Train

Lady on a Train is a major mystery, suspense, romance, Deanna Durbin plays a mystery seeker. While reading a book on a train (going from where she lives in San Fransisco to New York) she sees a murder out the window. She soon goes to the police who offer no help. She then seeks out the writer of the mystery book she was reading. He also offers no help, but after a full day of her following him and his jealous fiancee around, he relents. Also in the picture is a man named Haskell (of the New York office.) He is a rather gullible man, and  she can do her detecting  easily without him finding out. With the help of The mystery writer she investigates the murder of the rich tycoon. More trouble arises when the nephews of the murdered man meet her and mistakenly think shes there uncles girlfriend.
